Tutoring Testimonials

Candice was a fantastic tutor for our son in high school, who was struggling in a number of his courses. What we really appreciated was that she helped him take on individual class assignments, but she went way beyond that to help him understand broader concepts, find ways to improve his study habits and generally to give him much more confidence as a student.

I was a student in a really difficult AP Language class and Candice really helped me feel confident in English again. Candice was always generous with her time especially when I needed it most. She was never intimidating or judgmental. I don’t love writing essays, but Candice helped keep me focused and get my creative ideas flowing. My writing has improved so much. I just received the highest A in my class for an Othello final essay. I definitely recommend Candice for all things English as she was always knowledgeable regardless of the book and always gave her best effort in our sessions.

Candice Kelsey was a major help in preparing for my SAT exam. She has a warm, approachable, amazing personality. She is very good at explaining difficult concepts, and she has a perfect lesson plan for every situation. I loved being tutored by Candice and couldn’t have done it without her.
— A.A., 12th Grade Religious School Student
Candice has been working with my children for over a year. She has significantly improved my daughter’s writing skills. In addition, she enabled my daughter to dramatically raise her SAT and ACT test scores. Her encouraging and artful manner make the study of literature enjoyable. My son, who has hated literature and writing in the past, is now engaged in reading A Tale of Two Cities and has learned specific, valuable techniques that are improving his reading and writing skills. When I listen to the tutoring sessions, I am impressed with Candice’s ability to encourage and draw out great ideas from my children. We are incredibly thankful to have found Candice.
